What is Energy Efficiency?

Energy efficiency means to use less energy to provide the same level of performance, comfort, and convenience. For example, an energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulb uses approximately 80% less energy than a conventional incandescent bulb to produce the same amount of light and will therefore use less electricity.

Why should I care about saving energy?

Energy defines our lives and we rely on it in virtually every facet of our life. Think about the energy required to power your home: from the lights, the TV, appliances and to basic heating. Unfortunately, much of the lighting, appliances, systems and devices are not energy efficient.

We have this massive appetite for energy and demand more electricity from our power suppliers who are then forced to utilize more and more fossil fuels to keep up with the demand. That means we are increasingly reliant upon resources that are incredibly toxic to the environment and our health. As a society, if we make smarter decisions about using newer, more energy efficient products in our homes and offices, we can reduce our energy bills and contribute to a greener and cleaner planet.

ENERGY SAVING TIPS

Energy Saving Tips

  • The wattage of a bulb is not a measure of the amount of light it gives, but rather the energy it uses. For instance, a 100 watt bulb gives 50 % more light than four 25 watt bulbs.
  • Fluorescent lamps give five times the light and last up to 10 times as long as ordinary bulbs.
  • Fluorescent lighting is more economical – Watt for Watt than incandescent bulbs. They use less energy and can last about 10 times longer. This will also save the environment from hundreds of kilograms of carbon dioxide over the course of its lifetime.
  • Try not to install multiple lights (lamps or lighting fixtures) on a single switch.
  • Turn lights off whenever possible because they use electricity while they burn.
  • Clean your lamps and bulbs regularly, because dirt decreases the amount of light given out.
  • Dimming switches allow you to regulate the light level and reduce electricity consumption to some extent.
  • Use low energy lamps for exterior lighting.
  • Use energy saving light bulbs. They last much longer and use less electricity, saving you money in the long run.
  • Use light timers. This will stop “vampire energy”. Timers are cheap and automated. Just set them to your schedule.

INTRODUCTION TO ‘ROACH APPROACH’

Non Toxic Roach Control Solutions

roachENVISOL is an authorised agent for ROACH APPROACH.   ROACH APPROACH is unique in the sense that it is the only "Non Toxic" environmentally friendly alternative to existing controls available today.  The unique ROACH APPROACH formula contains all natural and environmentally friendly ingredients that roaches cannot resist.

Applied as a paste, the odourless bait is strategically applied by one of our team in small pieces in areas known to harbour roaches.  The bait solidifies in approximately 2 hours and will remain in place and effective for at least three months.  Due to the method of application of the bait there is absolutely no disruption in production areas, kitchens or affected areas.  ROACH APPROACH is truly a “No Mess, No Spray, No Odour and No Fuss” approach to roach control.

Upon ingestion of even a small quantity of the bait the roach will start to dehydrate. The dehydration process will lead to the roach’s death in approximately 5 - 7 days.  During this period the dying roach will attempt to replace its own body fluids and will seek out different sources of hydration in an attempt to survive.  A readily available source of hydration is found in the roaches own egg pods which are then instantly devoured and as a result the next generation of roaches is effectively wiped out.  Being cannibalistic by nature and in an attempt to survive, a dying roach will also continue to feed on its own kind including larvae, weaker young and old roaches – until its own demise.  ROACH APPROACH’s effectiveness is witnessed in the fact that roaches will wipe out their own kind within one week and the premises will remain roach free for at least three months.

Quarterly applications of ROACH APPROACH make this control system one of the most cost effective solutions and without a doubt the most environmentally friendly available.
